Job description
a.i solutions is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technical Integrator with a passion for aerospace to join our Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support 3 (ELVIS 3) team at Kennedy Space Center. Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical integration support to assist in scheduling and documenting engineering review board (ERB) activities including engineering review summaries, technical discussions and results/recommendations
- Serve as Engineering Review Board Information System (ERBIS) Administrator
- Provide access and training to new ERBIS users, track ERBIS bugs and conduct extensive user testing for ERBIS upgrades, conversions, and/or bug fixes
- Conduct research in engineering database and create reports for Chief Engineer based on analysis
- Provide engineering technical integration support to LSP’s Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) and engineering launch team with launch vehicle systems activities
- Support LSP engineering launch team by organizing console assignments, attending meetings/readiness reviews, meeting set-up, and documenting lessons learned
- Coordinate and produce Day of Launch presentation package
- During launch countdown, monitor engineering discipline nets and inform Chief Engineer of any issues; manage Chief Engineer’s launch countdown procedures on Day of Launch
- Travel to VSFB to support west coast launch campaigns and to launch vehicle provider facilities for travel ERBs (<25% but could include up to 4 weeks during west coast launch campaigns)
- Work a flexible schedule to support launch campaigns and meetings across different time zones
- Requires successful completion of NASA’s National Agency Check w/ Inquiries background check
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of equivalent technical experience – NASA/Launch Services Program experience is a plus
- Knowledge of systems engineering and communications & telemetry operations
- 3 years of technical writing/editing experience
- Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and Teams
Desired Background:
- Familiarity with NASA’s Launch Services Program
- Ability to thrive preparing for and in a launch campaign environment
- Proficiency in database administration and developing reports – preferably engineering data
- Experience documenting technical discussions/decisions, to include dissenting opinions and actions preferably in an engineering environment
