Northrop Grumman, Strategic Space Systems Division, has an opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • This role will essential be a team lead/focal point role (for Ship/Rec, Customer Service, FBAP & SAC teams) working alongside the department manager, selected candidate will help guide and make decisions to hourly workforce

  • Responsible for the receipt, delivery and inspection of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services.

  • Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and format quotes.

  • Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.

  • Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.

  • Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local Northrop Grumman business environment and primary or subsidiary contract partners.

  • Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Manages, develops or carries out delivery in accordance with all established business policies, procedures and public law.

  • Ensures accuracy of delivery information.

  • Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.

  • Understand and comply with all material requirements and specs; including but not limited to frozen, or otherwise temperature controlled and hazmat substances.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement, or another relevant field OR Master’s degree plus 1 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement, or another relevant field OR High School Diploma / GED plus 7 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, business management, procurement, or another relevant field.

  • Experience with SAP and/or similar ERP systems

  • Proficient in Ryder Logistic Systems Application

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to present and speak to leadership

  • Professional email etiquette, with ability to coordinate detailed status with peers, and program leadership and POC’s

  • Ability to be delegated to, and delegate to others.

  • Must be able to make quick, sound decisions on behalf of yourself & others

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret or SCI clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in data analytics

  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment and decision-making skills based on a clear understanding and application of government regulations to international trade activity

  • Current/Active DoD TS clearance or SCI

Salary Range: $67,100.00 - $100,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
