Join us as Optical Test Engineer (m/f/d) and work with us on changing the future!
What awaits you at Mynaric
- You plan tests, mainly in the field of optics, elaborate their test specifications and procedures in accordance to test standards and requirements in close cooperation with other teams. These tests setups include, but are not limited to:
- handling of infrared laser beams
- opto-mechanical systems
- fiber optics
- beam quality measurements
- optical simulation of vast distances
- Development and qualification of your own optical test setups used for the qualification and acceptance of full terminals, as well as component and sub-component level.
- Hands-on preparation of these tests and their execution, some under clean room and laser safety conditions, as well as the test data acquisition, data processing, analysis, and interpretation.
- Depending on the type of test, you prepare and finalize the required documents for certification, production, or knowledge conservation.
- You provide input from a testing perspective to our design and systems engineers, as well as the respective project teams, and feed their input back to the testing team
What you bring with you
- University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Passion to work at the cutting edge of technology.
- Detailed knowledge or experience in optics
- measurement concepts and tools and their application in practice
- experience in alignment of (infrared) optical systems
- experience with fiber optics
- ZEMAX modelling experience are beneficial
- LabVIEW and Python skills are beneficial
- Team spirit and eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
- Hands-on mindset for practical solutions.
- Creative solutions to complex technological problems.
