Detail:

MDA Space is seeking a motivated Systems Administrator to join the IT Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.  The role involves ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure environments on-premises and in the cloud.   The role requires knowledge and management of virtualization, operating systems, storage and server hardware, Microsoft M365.

Responsibilities:

  •  Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
  •  Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers across physical and virtual environments.
  •  Regularly monitor system performance, identify issues, and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  •  Manage appropriate security and high availability configurations to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  •  Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  •  Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server and virtual infrastructure.
  •  Create and maintain detailed documentation of the environment.
  •  Develop and implement automation scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  •  Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory and Azure EntraID
  •  Administer M365 (Teams, Exchange Online, Intune, Azure EntraID)
  •  Leverage configuration management solutions such as Intune and SCCM to maintain the configuration, compliance and patching of the Microsoft ecosystem at MDA Space.
  •  Leverage PowerShell scripting to implement automation to improve system efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  •  Administer and support VDI solutions such as Citrix to support the business remote access requirements
  •  Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure timely resolution of problems.
  •  Respond to system alerts to remediate issues within defined SLAs.
  •  Collaborate with other IT teams to support enterprise applications and services.
  •  Manage and deploy certificates to systems and applications
  •  Support audits and compliance reviews
  •  Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  •  3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or equivalent
  •  Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, M365 (MS Teams, Exchange, Intune).
  •  Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
  •  Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion or similar.
  •  Experience with configuration management tools (Intune and SCCM).
  •  Experience managing VDI technologies such as Citrix
  •  Knowledge and hands-on skills to manage and deploy TLS certificates.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

 

 

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
