We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer, who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom’s Assembly & Integration Team with all aspects of spaceflight hardware production for the Axiom Commercial Space Station. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about all phases of the development, production/procurement, and assembly of spaceflight hardware. The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Creating and updating working instructions to include drawing reviews, process specifications, and required certifications
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
Generating manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) upon release of engineering drawings
Working closely with spacecraft designers to ensure hardware is assembled, integrated, tested, and ready for space flight
Reviewing plans, inspecting fabrications, conducting investigations, and providing recommendations as necessary to assure compliance with aerospace established requirements, regulations, guidelines, and procedures
Ensuring production cycles are met from product design through acceptance, including product fabrication
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required
10+ years’ experience in Project Engineering, or similar role
Experience with PDM tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS PDM or similar
Experience with design reviews, drawings reviews, and configuration control processes
Experience authoring work instructions
Experience with Atlassian suite
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to address project challenges
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet tight deadlines and quality objectives
Highly proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
