About The Role
The Product Manager – Lunar Data Network will own and drive the development, commercialization, and growth of products and services enabled by Intuitive Machines’ Lunar Data Network, satellites, and ground stations. This individual will be responsible for defining product offerings, developing business strategies, and engaging with both commercial and federal customers to ensure our products meet their needs.
The ideal candidate is a technical with business acumen, capable of translating cutting-edge space technologies into compelling, marketable solutions while working closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
If selected, you will:
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, and manage a portfolio of Lunar Data Network products and services, including satellite communications, lunar ground station access, and space-based data solutions.
- Identify market opportunities and customer needs within both commercial and government sectors, developing tailored solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation to commercialization, including feature definition, pricing models, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of customer needs into product development and deployment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies (e.g., NASA, DoD, NOAA), commercial space companies, and international partners to drive adoption of Intuitive Machines’ data services.
- Develop business cases, market analyses, and ROI assessments to support product investment decisions.
- Lead customer engagement efforts, including technical briefings, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Work closely with marketing to create compelling messaging, sales materials, and thought leadership content to promote product adoption.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure Intuitive Machines remains a leader in lunar communications and data services.
Requisition Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, business development, or technical sales in the aerospace, telecommunications, or satellite industries.
- Strong understanding of satellite communications, ground station operations, and data transmission architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.
- Experience working with government customers (NASA, DoD, etc.) and commercial space companies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working with satellite networks, lunar communications, or deep-space telemetry.
- Knowledge of government contracting, procurement processes, and space industry regulations.
- Prior experience creating and executing product and sales strategy around products and services in a engineering, space, or defense environment.
- Experience developing subscription-based or usage-based pricing models for satellite services.
