We are seeking a Staff (Level 5) Deputy IPT Lead to join our talented team.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
What You’ll get to Do:
As the Deputy IPT Lead on this team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the IPT Lead and act as the primary delegate for all IPT leadership activities
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the sub IPT leaders and program team (to include strategy development, coaching team members, resolving conflict, and optimizing team level performance)
- Coordinate/interface across multiple IPTs to define, develop and test the Ground Segment
- Measure and report program performance through agile development
- Development and adherence to master plans and schedules
- Integrated program demand planning (staffing, clearances, etc)
- Manage risk, issue and opportunity processes
- Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact program performance and take proactive action to resolve issues regarding cost and schedule
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customer counterparts
- Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards
- Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Ground system processes and procedures
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 10 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree; 8 years of experience with a PhD.
- Current & active DoD TS/SCI security clearance required at time of application
- Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, coordination, identifying/mitigating risk, and supporting all phases of a development program
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present technical material to senior management and customers
- Comfortable with generating and presenting technical information in Ground-Space systems domain
- Demonstrated systems engineering knowledge with requirements and verification experience
- Previous project management experience for technical and schedule milestones
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal communications, organizational and professional development/mentoring skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Must be able to work independently, function in a fast-paced team environment, and be flexible to changing direction Active TS clearance with SCI required
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Previous management experience as a Deputy APM, SPM, or Technical Lead
- Experience performing as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) managing cost, schedule, and technical
- Previous program management or related mission management experience with NG PGSD processes
- Technical background in ground system design, software development, software integration & test, and requirements development and verification
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop effective processes
- Experience with program reviews and business development activities.
