Our products are on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years. Our facility in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Calibration Technician to support the Deployables Operating Unit.

Overview
The Calibration Technician calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical and opto-mechanical measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Role and Responsibilities:
Effectively solve problems related to measurement equipment
Acquire, analyze, document and report data relating to calibration activities
Communicate with internal customers to convey calibration equipment activities
Create and update procedures as necessary
Identify and execute processes related to calibration for improvement opportunities to drive effectiveness of calibration management
Support calibration related activities such as the processing of various measurement equipment and in accordance with Deployables internal calibration procedures and policies
Track and trend data on equipment that fall under Deployables calibration requirements
Support internal audits, external audits, product, and process verification
Notify responsible personnel/user/work area of upcoming calibration due dates
Ensure calibration is performed on time as required per calibration procedure/policy, so that schedules are always met
Contact calibration and service providers and initiate purchase orders for the service
Plan to deliver calibration equipment received back from service providers to respective owners, function, and work centers after verifying calibration report is acceptable, and pertinent information has been documented into the database
Initiate Non-Conforming Material Report if equipment is found to be out of tolerance during calibration or any time during use
Create calibration and reports on a regular cadence and communicate any reportable observations to your manager
Review change orders related to calibration services request
Support verification/validation activities for new equipment or based on need
Report unsafe conditions observed while equipment is in use
Support projects or activities as required by the company
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management
Accountable to meet or exceed the Quality Assurance, and support the Operational, safety, quality, delivery, employee, and cost (SQDEC) expectations of external and internal customers across all AOX programs supported by (either Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering)

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
High School Diploma, or equivalent and two years applicable technical experience in metrology
Understanding basic calibration process
Ability to interpret OEM specifications related to test and measurement equipment
Ability to multitask while upholding attention to detail and Quality
A working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
Knowledge and application of AS9100, ISO 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540
Ability to collaborate effectively with managers, and peers to achieve business and organizational goals
US Citizenship is required
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in a technical discipline
