Job Description 👨‍💻

Exotrail is looking for a Satellite Operations Engineer for the exploitation of its in-orbit fleet of Spacevan LEO and GEO satellites. Within the IOS Mission team, you will be responsible for operating satellites from our Satellite Control Center (SCC) for full life cycle : End-end tests on Ground, LEOP, In-orbit Mission.

Responsibilities:

📌Control and Command Spacevan satellites in accordance with Mission Plan (routine operations, maneuvers and payload specific operations), including regular on-call support

📌Perform real-time assessment of satellite data

📌Execute whenever needed emergency procedures to ensure platform and payload safety

📌Establish, validate and maintain Satellites Operational product :

• Operational procedures prepared in close interactions with System team and AIT team

• Operational documentation

• Operations database

📌Participate in the maintenance and improvement of our Ground segment with our Developers Operation Engineers, based on lessons learned and expertise

📌Participate in the maintenance and improvement of our Flight Dynamics System with our FDS Operation Engineers, based on lessons learned and expertise


Preferred Experience 💁‍♀️

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Satellite Operations for all phases (LEOP, In orbit Mission, Passivation), including experience of satellite maneuvering
  • Desired : Participation to Ground Segment development
  • Rigorous and paying attention to details.
  • Solutions oriented.
  • Fostering team environment.
  • Good knowledge of software development and databases is a plus.
