Join our team in Montreal as a Mechnical Technician in our Satellite Systems division and take part in innovative projects that push boundaries of space technology!
Your Future Mission:
Under the direction of more experienced technicians or technical/engineering staff, the employee performs a variety of tasks related to established methods and processes, and works from written instructions or general directions on equipment and systems of moderate complexity.
Responsibility/Tasks:
- Assemble or modify Material Ground and Support Equipment (MGSE) according to specific instructions.
- Perform a variety of tasks including installation, repair, testing and maintenance of MGSE-related equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers on MGSE design issues by researching and recommending parts or components.
- Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
- Perform other related tasks.
- Use high-precision equipment to align or adjust flight or tooling sub-assemblies or assemblies according to theoretical values or guidelines submitted by Engineering.
- Tests, troubleshoots and aligns aircraft, subsystems and systems.
- May be called upon to calibrate and/or characterize various tooling and/or flight components.
Minimum qualifications required:

DEC or equivalent in mechanical, aeronautical or related engineering as assigned.

A combination of other relevant experience/education may be considered.

2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English an asset.

Knowledge and experience relevant to the assignment.

Good knowledge of CAD software

Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
