We have an opportunity in our welcoming and supportive Human Resources (HR) team for an proactive team member to join us as an apprentice. This is a unique opportunity to support both the HR Operations and Talent Teams to deliver key activities across the business, giving you exposure to the full range of career pathways HR can offer. 

Whatever your age or point in your career, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, you will be supported to achieve your CIPD Level 3 qualification in HR Support. The role will offer exposure to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HR operations, data reporting and much more.

With our support you will develop the skills and knowledge required to build a strong foundation for your career in HR, while contributing to the success of the HR team and therefore our missions!

Responsibilities 

HR is a broad discipline, and the successful candidate can expect to gain exposure to the following areas over the course of their apprenticeship – though the initial focus will be the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding tasks.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including requisition forms, purchase orders, job posting, scheduling interviews, and candidate and agency communication.
  • Support the coordination of onboarding activities for new starters, contract changes and offboarding activities.
  • Help maintain our recruitment database and candidate records, ensuring compliance with legislation e.g. right to work and data protection.
  • Assist in milestone monitoring and purchase orders for contracted and outsourced labour

HR Operations:

  • Provide support for employee queries.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support the administration of employee lifecycle processes, including contracts, probation reviews, annual performance & salary reviews, and leaver processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports for data analysis to inform business decisions.

Employee Engagement & Wellbeing:

  • Assist in organising employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing activities.
  • Assist in administration of employee benefits
  • Help administer surveys and collate feedback to support continuous improvement.

Learning & Development Support:

  • Support the coordination of training sessions, workshops, and development initiatives.
  • Maintain training records and assist in monitoring employee development progress.
  • Assist with training administration on Coursera
  • Assist with administration for skills reviews within our performance management platform.

 

 

Essential Skills

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Good organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Level at grades A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources

Desirable skills

  • Previous experience in an office or customer service environment
