Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Principal Supply Chain Planner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the F-35 portfolio. This position specifically focuses on proposal support to win new business under the F-35 CNI Operations Development.

The candidate must be able to function in a dynamic and fast paced proposal environment and work closely with proposal teams, material estimators, price/cost analysts, subcontracts and procurement personnel to ensure the vendor data is compliant in support of the Northrop Grumman proposal submittal. The role is both strategic and administrative in nature.

What You'll Get to do:

  • Manages the GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out.  Coordinates interdepartmental activity, directs communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally to ensure supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed.
  • Leads supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution.
  • Aligns project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management.
  • Briefs the GSCPM on the status and issues affecting program performance:  Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule.
  • Will be involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in Proposals, Pricing and Estimating, Business Management, Subcontracts, Supply Chain Management and/or Contract Management or Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience
  • DoD contracting experience (e.g. FAR and DFARS government regulations)
  • Knowledge and understanding of labor/material estimating, proposal analysis, and proposal adequacy as prescribed in DFARS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Material Forecasting
  • Active Secret clearance (US citizenship)
  • Expert experience in Excel and analytical skills
  • Earned Value Management Systems
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
  • ASCM/APICS Supply Chain Certifications
  • Experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable, and possess knowledge relating to special payment provisions (progress of performance base payments).

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
