Job Summary
The Product Manager is responsible for gathering customer business requirements and translating them into technical requirements for Lynk’s technical team. This role requires a strong technical background in mobile wireless core networks among different technologies including GSM, LTE and 5G as well as internet working between different networks (e.g. roaming and interconnects). The ideal candidate will have familiarity with 3GPP NTN standards, and be able to articulate clear NTN capabilities/features that are required to meet customer needs/requirements. Your work will ultimately culminate in an application layer software stack that allows a self-serve capability/API for MNOs to utilize for network reconfiguration and customization.
Core Responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Collaborate with Lynk’s Business Development team, Technical Account Managers, and Technical team to implement the service.
Meet with Lynk’s MNO partners to share in-depth knowledge about Lynk’s core network architecture, and gather feedback on the architecture where relevant.
Guide product development on Lynk’s core network while also maintaining awareness on RAN network products.
Create end-to-end test plans for Lynk service and troubleshoot as needed.
Monitor customer-reported issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop test methods to constantly improve overall customer satisfaction.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively and convincingly with all areas of the company - technical and non-technical - as well as with external parties.
Collaborate with project stakeholders and technical teams.
Up to 25% travel is expected.
Must Have Qualifications
A BS in an Engineering field, such as, Electrical Engineering, Communication Theory, Telecommunications, IT, Computer Science.
10+ years of experience in the wireless industry within mobile network operators or vendors.
Strong knowledge and experience of communications protocols, such as, SS7, DIAMETER, SMS, Cellular Broadcast, IMS, SMPP, A2P, VoIP, VoLTE.
Desire to work in a demanding, high energy environment and comfort for ambiguity.
Nice to Have Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with roaming implementation.
Knowledge and experience of messaging aggregation and hub players.
Knowledge of RF communications and multiple access methods.
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
Experience with agile methodologies.
International experience.
Masters in Business Administration or similar.
