This position will be located at Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Essential Functions:
- This position will perform Scrum Master duties and Agile coaching for the Enterprise Services C2BMC team. The team currently consists of 2 development teams and a test team.
- The ideal candidate will lead and mentor the teams on Agile process and practices and coordinate with them and the Product Owner.
- Candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile practices and experience delivering products in short sprints.
- Candidate will interface with customers and use oral and written skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders and team members.
- Emphasis of the position will be on supporting the development and execution plan to support the transformation to Agile methodology, including development of processes, templates, artifacts, training materials, and lessons-learned.
Basic Qualifications:

- An active Secret clearance is required to start.
- 5 years' experience with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; 3 years' experience with a master’s degree in related field; or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Previous experience as Scrum Master Applicant must have ability to triage scrum team issues based on priority, impact, risk, and release timing; outstanding time management skills and attention to details
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of The Scrum Guide
- Experience working as scrum master as part of the Scrum team (preferably a SW Development scrum team)
- Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA, Agility (Version One) or other Agile management tools
- Experience in decomposing (or assisting in decomposing) Agile features to user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of Systems Engineering, SW Development and Verification cycles would be beneficial
- Agile Certification, such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe)
- Agile Coaching experience would be a highly desired skill
