Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for a Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer Systems to join our Digital Engineering (DE) team to support Digital Transformation (DT) within the Launch Vehicles (LV) Business Unit (BU) in Chandler, AZ, in coordination with the Launch & Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) Division Strategy.

This position has two main roles:
•    LV DT Committee Lead.
•    LV DE Solution Point of Contact (PoC).
In this role, the candidate will work with the Enterprise/Sector/BU teams to develop/implement solutions to support program execution and drive efficiencies using DT.

DT Committee Lead responsibilities includes:
•    Lead the biweekly LV BU steering committee meetings. 
•    Product Owner of the LV DT JIRA/SharePoint/Web sites.
•    Review new & existing LV DT ideas submitted to the LV DT JIRA site.
•    Coordinate with project champions to determine resources for projects.
•    Collaborate with the Operations DT & Continuous Improvement teams.
•    Collaborate with LMDS DT, consisting of weekly tag ups with LMDS BU DT Leads to discuss division strategy and collaboration.

DE Solution Point of Contact responsibilities include:
•    Serving as the PoC for various internal customers interested in LV DE solutions for their programs.
•    Working with the Enterprise DT Solution team, to drive adoption of LV solutions.
•    Interfacing with LV Engineering teams to increase awareness of DE solutions.
•    Coordinating with LV Manufacturing/Operations, & Supply Chain to advocate for DT within the factory.
•    Be the DE consultant for Business Development program needs.

This position may be offered at the Principal Engineer Systems Level 3 or Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Level 4.

Basic Qualifications:

If offered at the Principal Engineer Systems Level 3 requires:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience

•    U.S. Citizenship is required.

•   Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
•    Work onsite at the Chandler, AZ facility.

If offered at the Sr. Principal Engineer Systems Level 4 requires:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience.
•    U.S. Citizenship is required.

•   Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
•    Work onsite at the Chandler, AZ facility.

Preferred, Qualifications:

•    Experience with Agile Framework.

•    Experience with Jira.

•    Experience with Confluence.

•    Experience with MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler.

•    Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML).

•    Experience with Multi-Disciplinary Automation & Optimization (MDAO).

•    Experience with ModelCenter.

•    Experience with DOORS.

•    Experience with HTML, Python, and/or JavaScript.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
