About the Role
The Vice President of IT will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development, and implementation of all IT initiatives within the organization. In addition, the Vice President of IT will manage IT Operations and End User Support, Cybersecurity, Engineering Applications and Enablement, Business Enablement, and Classified IT. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the space industry, strong technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency through technology.This role, reporting to the COO, is crucial for the ongoing transformation within the business. The team has undergone significant changes, including transitioning from SNC legacy systems to Sierra Space systems, leading to independent IT systems and services. Key business decisions have been made to enhance efficiency, such as moving financial systems to SAP, manufacturing systems from Epsilon to Manufacturo, transitioning to Atlassian from Service PRO, and shifting from Windchill to Teamcenter products. Although substantial progress has been made, there is still work to be done to further increase efficiencies. This role is essential for continuing to build out the business in this function.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
Lead and manage the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT systems and infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT and data security.
Manage the IT budget, including forecasting, planning, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT team.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the space industry to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
Develop and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and partners.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, promoting professional development and growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in the space industry or a related field.
Experience in programmatic leadership and is able to work cross functionally with the business and has experience with P&L work
Demonstrated success with driving projects to completion
Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support services.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing IT strategies that drive business growth and innovation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT and data security.
Experience managing IT budgets and resources effectively.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
