We are seeking a Principal (level 3) Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support the planning and implementation of a comprehensive Configuration Management (CM) process on a major program, in accordance with established CM and Data Management (DM) practices that are based on DoD and customer contract requirements. The position will be located on-site in Redondo Beach, CA. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software products 

  • Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks;  Execute builds and releases per program schedules to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines 

  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. 

  • Design and implement build procedures used in support of software product development and use 

  • Perform Change Management activities to a technical baseline:  System Engineering documents via an Engineering Review Board; Software Products (Software Change Control Board); Generate Board Metrics, Agenda and Minutes material 

  • Baseline documents in a controlled system 

  • Develop and maintain CDRL schedule, submittal requirements, and metrics 

  • Support program meetings during CDM Lead Absence 

  • Additional responsibilities may include developing software configuration standards for company-wide use as well as training software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards 

The candidate will have the opportunity to provide Configuration Data Management support throughout the program life cycle, and ensure configuration and data management policies and standards are met. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively within a team environment, to interface with other groups within the project, strong written and verbal communication skills, well developed abstract problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with simultaneous efforts. Work under general direction. Determine and develop technical solutions to moderately complex problems independently. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance 

  • Experience with software development lifecycle and processes 

  • Understanding of productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages in support of software development 

  • Experience in CDRL management, document generation, and change control board (CCB) preparation and administration including leading the meetings and producing agendas and minutes 

  • Experience with hardware configuration management

  • Experience with originating/updating and proofreading documents for publishing 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 

  • 5 Years of related experience with Bachelor’s degree; 3 Years of related experience with Master’s degree 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Knowledge of Protected SATCOM program experience is a plus 

  • Experience with and comprehensive understanding of software development and configuration management tools (i.e., Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Confluence, ClearQuest, Git, Collaborator), including current SCM industry standards and practices 

  • Experience in developing software configuration approaches and maintenance of the CM library and processes 

  • Experience with the CM functions of planning and management, configuration identification, change management, status accounting and verification and audit, as it applies to software  

  • Experience with TopVue, Defense Cost and Resource Center/Cost Assessment Data Enterprise (DCARC-CADE) and SharePoint 

  • Familiarity with AS9100D, EIA-649, EIA-859, and MIL-HBK-61A guidance and standards 

  • Excellent oral and written communications, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail 

  • TS/SCI clearance 

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
