About Your Opportunity:
The Commercial Lead will be responsible for commercial and contracts management activities on specific multi-million pound contracts supporting NGUK’s Defence & National Security customers, with a primary focus on win business activities. The role may also provide support to the wider Commercial team and business stakeholders on other existing contracts.

Responsibilities:
- Commercial Lead for specific win business activities, throughout the opportunity life cycle, providing commercial oversight, governance and leadership for these key business opportunities.
- Work closely with key stakeholders including the business development team and the associated cross functional bid team and Head of Contracts, to understand, develop and agree commercial strategies for the assigned opportunities.
- Prepare and negotiate various forms of contracts terms, scope and pricing, recognising the risk/reward trade-off. Work closely with the relevant business stakeholders to develop, agree and deliver commercially sound customer and business solutions.
- Support the wider Commercial team with ongoing business or opportunities as may be required.
Your Experience:
- Relevant degree (such as Law, Business, Economics) and commercial management experience in a Defence/business/IT/engineering environment for a significant period.
- Track record of building strong stakeholder and customer relationships
- Demonstrable experience of proposal work and review on medium to large scale and complexity captures
- Demonstrable success in creating innovative commercial solutions, building and executing negotiation strategies and supporting business decision making.
- Experience of process adherence, governance and control
Your Future Team:
- Join a dedicated, supportive, commercial function - responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Contracts and commercial relationships, which range from Submarine systems development to Cyber & Intelligence solutions;
- Integrate with business leadership and delivery teams - to enable the successful execution of programmes of national importance;
- Be part of a wider business team - working closely with Finance, Pricing, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance and Project Controls to maximise Business performance.
