Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Integration & Test) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This role for a Ground systems engineer to support Command and Control (C2) Software Development and SEIT functions.
What you’ll get to do: As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support the C2 team in creating integration tests, verifying drivers, and working with the C2 team to ensure that requirements are met. You will also support the team at the Enterprise and program level testing. You will write, support, and debug automated test scripts and create test procedures. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission, ensuring everything is synchronized.
We have multiple Systems Engineering positions across the Ground program, on contract to deliver the ground segment for a restricted space program. This role is for SEIT on the program where the focus is to support the Ground integration & test efforts.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting Integration and Test efforts.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level (level 3) or a Senior Principal level (level 4), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Basic Qualifications
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
Must have a completed STEM degree with below years of experience in systems engineering [a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics]
Principal level (level 3)
5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)
1 Years of relevant experience with a completed Ph.D. (STEM)
Senior Principal level (level 4)
8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)
4 Years of relevant experience with a completed Ph.D. (STEM)
Must have experience on all of the below:
Prior systems engineering experience.
Integration and Test experience
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with space vehicle ground segment design
Experience with Matlab, C, C++, Java, MBSE, Visio, JIRA, Bitbucket
Expertise with testing tools and automation
Experience with requirements verification
Experience with Agile Development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
