Position Description: Voyager is seeking a dynamic Internal Communications Manager to drive effective communication across the enterprise, ensuring clarity, alignment, and engagement among employees. The person in this role will be a self-starter, storyteller, and brand ambassador who takes the initiative to do what it takes to get the job done. This role will be responsible for coordinating internal messaging, maintaining a centralized company calendar, and supporting marketing efforts as needed. The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator with excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to collaborate across departments and drive organizational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Internal Communication & Coordination 

  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal communications, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across teams. 
  • Lead, develop and implement strategic internal communications programs that align with company goals, shaping employee engagement and culture. 
  • Establish communications strategies to support One Voyager brand across our business segments and future acquisitions 
  • Coordinate messaging from leadership, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of important company updates. 
  • Develop a regular cadence of communications to ensure visibility to performance, progress and purpose, ensuring messages are specifically tailored and impactful for their respective channels. 
  • Integrate communications efforts across platforms to create a consistent and cohesive message. 
  • Develop engagement activities and implement efficiencies and automations in the Company’s communications channels (i.e., Slack) 

 

Centralized Calendar Management 

  • Build, maintain, and oversee a centralized internal calendar for key company events and conferences, relevant leadership travel and meetings, and internal initiatives, including an editorial calendar for regular content generation across the business.  
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure visibility and coordination of internal activities. 
  • Proactively manage scheduling conflicts and communicate updates effectively. 

 

Marketing & Cross-Functional Support 

  • Assist with marketing-related initiatives, including internal campaign rollouts and employee engagement programs. 
  • Support content creation for internal newsletters, announcements, presentations, etc. 
  • Partner with HR, leadership, and marketing teams to drive culture-building initiatives, support the employee experience and internal brand alignment 
  • Support management of company store

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or a similar role. 
  • Ability to understand the impact of business decisions and changes on the employee experience 
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience building, managing, and automating internal communications platforms, tools, and collaboration software (Experience in Slack and Asana required, Canva preferred)  
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into digestible and interesting pieces for the everyday reader.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across various functions and leadership levels. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

 

 

Salary Range: $100,000 – 130,000/year
