Proposal Strategist

Key Responsibilities

• Author technical proposals to ultimately win new business for Turion including spacecraft missions, software deployment, and beyond.
• Partner with the business development team to understand customer needs and align technical proposals with broader commercial strategy for government and commercial entities.
• Implement processes for tracking progress of all proposals and communicating status regularly.
• Engage substantively with engineering teams including spacecraft engineering, ground software, mission operations, and more to ensure technical grounding of all proposal content.
• Interface directly with Turion's customers and partners to facilitate technical discussions to clarify teaming arrangements and bid details.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writer capable of conveying deeply technical concepts with fine-grained granularity as well as zooming out to powerful & persuasive executive summaries. 
• Extremely detail oriented with intentionality and ownership over every number and turn of phrase in a proposal.
• Detailed knowledge of government and commercial proposal processes with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience.
• Intellectually curious in nature with willingness to learn new technical concepts and engaged substantively with engineering teams.
• Strong sense of autonomy and ownership and capable of working both independently and collaboratively depending on project need.
• Comfortable utilizing new technology such as generative AI to accelerate and improve the proposal writing process.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.

• This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158,  or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
