Northrop Grumman is seeking a Finance Assistant 4 to support our Defense System Sector in Plymouth, MN. This position provides accounting assistance for a team of accounting and finance professionals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Enters journal entries into Costpoint accounting system and ensures required support is provided by the requestor.
- Prepares and processes labor cost transfers at request of programs as needed.
- Assists with cash collections tracking.
- Supports intercompany work requests.
- Prepares and processes monthly Intra-Accounting system transfers as needed.
- Assists with weekly/monthly reporting for the operating unit.
- Supports special projects and financial analysis as requested.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years related experience and/or additional education
- Requires 2 years of accounting related support experience
- Requires bookkeeping experience making entries for debits and credits
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Deltek Costpoint/Cobra
- Reliable, organized, self-motivated, and possess a high degree of integrity
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
