We are looking for a Junior Technician CAO PCB within our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

The incumbent supports the printed circuit board (PCB) design phase either by creating parts, tracing PCBs or documenting PCB fabrication and assembly. He/she receives technical direction from the department's technologists, senior technicians and engineers.

 

Responsibilities:

• Able to maintain DxDatabook database.
• Library:
  • Create component geometries and electrical symbols to contractual, military, commercial or space (NASA) specifications using precise guidelines.
  • Update Mentor Xpedition parts and symbols library.
  • Enter parts into DxDatabook.
• Layout: Make modifications to annotated insert layouts.
• Drawing and Documentation: Prepare simple assembly drawings using computerized tools (Mentor Graphics and Autocad 2D).
• All other related tasks.

 

Minimum qualifications required:

• Basic knowledge of printed circuits in terms of creating parts or symbols, tracing complex circuits or manufacturing and assembly.
• Education: DEC in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Three (3) years experience.
• Language skills: At ease in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset.

 

Additional qualifications required by assignment:

• Librarian and Layout : Knowledge of Mentor Graphics and DxDatabook.
• Drawing and documentation: Knowledge of Autocad and Mentor Xpedition.

Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level and pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
