The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an experienced Product Repair / Modification Technician (Level D) to join our FSCO- Experimental Services Group . The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Kennedy Space Center, FL.
Objectives of this program include space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development. Managed by Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, affordable and responsive platform balancing the characteristics of a the aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Oversees training.
Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 or more years of technical experience in an Aerospace environment
3 or more years of experience developing and delivering technical publications
5 or more years of experience with multi-discipline teams
This job requires the use of respirators
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years of experience in any of the following: Aerospace Vehicle Operations, Configuration of Data, Aerospace Maintenance
5 or more years of experience working with space related electrical power and harness subsystems.
5 years of experience in any of the following: Aerospace Vehicle Operations, Configuration of Data, Aerospace Maintenance
Current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program is preferred.
Typical Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
