Position Purpose: The Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for leading cross-functional, quality, schedule, and performance improvement initiatives in support of all aspects of company operations. This position may also manage the overall Continuous Improvement function, including personnel.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $100,000 - $185,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Hybrid or we will consider qualified remote employees in AZ, CA, CO, D.C., FL, GA, MA, MT, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, and WA only.

Job Responsibilities: 

•       Identify, recommend, and implement processes, technologies, and systems to continuously improve product and service quality as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency.

•       Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop, implement, and communicate the operations strategy, issues based upon meaningful metrics, and initiatives to improve performance.

•       Manage continuous improvement initiatives from creation to closure within budget and schedule parameters.

•       Define the value stream from design through deliver, identify all cost and schedule drivers along this value stream, develop metrics to monitor/measure all elements in the value stream, identify areas for optimization in the value stream and work cross functionally to implement improvement initiatives.

•       Foster an environment of continuous improvement and drive best practices.

•       Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets.

•       Ensure departmental decisions and project plans are in line with the organization’s business strategy and plan.

•       Motivate, cultivate, and mentor a high-performing team.

•       Communicate and advocate operational needs to the internal team and leadership.

•       Create and maintain QMS process documents as needed for improvement initiatives.

•       Work with and/or manage the Reporting and Data Analytics personnel to create and maintain key performance indicators and metrics.

•       Partner and collaborate effectively with all functional areas of the business.

•       Present performance reports and metrics to the leadership team members.

•       Assist in readying and maintaining the company’s policies and procedures to ensure ISO certification.

•       Develop, stand up, and chair a Risk and Opportunities board as required.

•       Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.

•       Collaborate with and manage a continuous improvement team.

•       Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications/Education:

•       7-12+ years of business/process improvement experience.

•       BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline required; MBA is a plus.

•       Experience managing operations/improvement projects, including budgets and resources. 

•       Proficiency with SQL coding language is a plus.

•       Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI is a plus.

•       Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

•       Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

•       Ability to work well in a diverse team environment while adhering to high ethical standards.

•       Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

•       Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.

•       Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.

•       Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.

 

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.  BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
