We are seeking a dynamic VP, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the consolidated Maxar Intelligence (MI) financial planning, forecasting and strategic analysis. This critical role helps to consolidate financial results, analyze the data, provide recommendations to the company’s senior leadership team, and support monthly forecasting and reporting activities across our Steering Committees, Board of Director meetings and other leadership engagements as required.

The FP&A team is a critical strategic business partner for the design, development, and implementation of the ongoing transformation at MI and looking to reposition the future of the company. The leader will be an essential part of that transformation, helping to lead the implementation and adoption of new financial reporting metrics, software tools, AI/ML and influencing the long-term company and finance functional roadmaps for years to come.

Key responsibilities include the driving the coordination and consolidation of our Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecasts, monthly reports and business reviews including detailed variance analysis, long-range strategic plans, and ad-hoc decision support analysis. Leadership of the company’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, driving the company’s financial strategies and transitioning to execution plans. Makes final decisions on administrative and/or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Internal and external forecasting and reporting, optimization of core business processes/workflows and talent development for the team of professionals tasked with efficiently executing the organizations V2MOM. Frequently interact with leaders utilizing special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar field (accounting, business management, etc.).
  • 10+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or P&L – specifically in:
    • Consolidated budgeting and reporting including Bookings, cash-based expenses, profitability, and cash.
    • Influence outcomes directly and indirectly across a wide range of stakeholders including internal cross-functional business partners, the senior leadership team, ownership group and board of directors.
    • Cash Flow and Balance Sheet modeling experience.
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel and data analysis
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within the field – specifically in:
    • High performance team management and development.
    • Board and Exec-level presentation skills (PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Defense and Intelligence and Tech industry experience.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning experience.
  • Salesforce experience.
  • Private Equity (PE) owned company experience.

Pay for this role is variable as an executive contributor which includes base, bonus, and an executive incentive package.
