a.i. solutions is looking for highly-motivated engineering summer interns to support the NASA Launch Services Program at Kennedy Space Center. The Interns will be assigned to positions in the Vehicle Engineering and Analysis (VE&A) department performing tasks related to commercial launch vehicle systems and supporting our NASA customer. The roles and responsibilities cover a range of engineering disciplines supporting analysis and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V). The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Summer 2025 Internship Dates: Monday, May 19th, 2025 to Friday, August 15th, 2025.

The following engineering positions are being staffed for this year’s summer Intern program:

Mechanical Launch Vehicle/Ground Support Engineer:

  • Develop Graphical User Interface to display telemetry data represented in system schematics
  • Provide assessment of launch vehicle and ground systems
  • Pursuit of a college degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with 3D CAD software preferred

Electrical Launch Vehicle/Ground Support Engineer:

  • Read system level diagrams and high-level electrical schematics and translate them to effective displays for monitoring the health and status of electrical ground/control systems
  • Develop software tools to efficiently gather, organize, display, and analyze ground system data
  • Pursuit of a college degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with Python programming is highly desirable
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, OneNote is desirable

Electromagnetic Compatibility/Radio Frequency/Ionizing Radiation (EMC/RF/IR) Engineer:

  • Perform electromagnetic modeling, magnetic field coupling, space charging, radiation, and transmitter and receiver characteristics analyses
  • Pursuit of a college degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with MATLAB, C or Python desired

At the conclusion of the internship, all students will document their project results including methodologies, procedures, software, and data locations. In addition, each student will be responsible for presenting the projects and results to their mentors, colleagues, and Engineering Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled full time for Fall 2025 pursuing an engineering degree or in a relevant field.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
