ispace is looking for a talented and dedicated Internal Controls Manager to join our team located in Englewood, CO!
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee ispace-US internal control system
- Identify key risks to the busienss and develop and maintain controls that are able to compensate for these risks
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that will maintain a strong internal control system
- Continuously monitor, test, and adjust controls as necessary. This would include audits of controls and various trainings of ispace-US personelle where necessary
- Complete regular status reports and updates to be presented to ispace-US ELT, Business Process Reviews, and ispace inc. Internal Auditor and Audit committee.
- Interface regularly with ispace inc. Internal Audit
- Educate ispace-US employees on the importance of internal controls. Education avenues could include monthly All Hands meetings and required trainings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant applicable laws as well as applicable internal policies and regulations, both local and global.
- Work cross functionally to develop and maintain policies with relevant departments including bur not limited to Supply Chain Management, IT, Business Development, Program Management, Accounting, and Finance.
- Ensure a strong inventory policy and process is implemented and followed including the proper setup of Stoke Fusion
- Assist with the setup and implementation of new business systems including ERP and other systems that impact financial reporting
- Other special projects as assigned
Required Skills:
- 5+ years industry experience
- Strong business acumen and judgment, with the ability to think strategically about business issues, risk, and
- Experience or an ability to work cross functionally to develop and maintain a strong internal control framework
- Understanding of the Chart of Accounts and General Ledger activities; booking and closing processes
- Understand Financial Statements: BS, CF, IS
- Understand budgeting processes
- Ability to work independently and to identify and recommend best practices
- Stay current with existing and changing Financial Accounting Standards
- Effective and positive communication across cultural and physical boundaries within an international business environment
Desired Skills:
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment
- Schedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility required
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Competitive salary based upon experience. The salary range posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
