Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Chief Information and Digital Office (CDIO) is seeking a Systems Software Analyst (Experience Level 2 or Level 3). This position will be primarily virtual/work from home. This could change depending upon business conditions.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Support Solumina G-Series (G8) to iSeries transition, including defining business processes and new software capability, implement and manage integration API elements using software configuration management practices
- Support Solumina CPMES (G8R2) End of Life activity including working with developer team to establish integration criteria, test plans and test results for the new system
- Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide software systems
- Develop requirements, workflow, and perform systems analysis
- Correct data errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities
- Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meet with team members and users to develop solutions
- Provide real time gathering of inputs from the manufacturing work centers, document and track each item to closure within the requirements of change control process
- This role is typically designed for data analytic responsibilities or minor system administration duties
- Responsible to prioritize work, perform work independently and within a team. Ability to receive guidance from senior technical teammates
- Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities
- Must be able to share a rotating schedule for ‘on call’ support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics or STEM equivalent with 2 Years of relevant experience.
- The Level 2 experienced engineer will work with general supervision, working on User Tickets, and technical problems of increasing complexity as assigned
- Must be able to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements
- Experience providing technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes
- Knowledge of software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis
- System integration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills; Strong communication skills
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics or STEM equivalent with 5 Years of relevant experience OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters Degree.
- The Level 3 Mid-Level engineer will work with general direction, working on User Tickets, and a wide range of technical problems having solutions in alignment with organizational objectives
- Must be able to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements
- Experience providing technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes
- Skills with executing software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis
- System integration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills; Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) preferably Solumina applications
- Experience with Database queries and Data mining using an intermediate level SQL
- Knowledge of programming (e.g. Python or JAVA) and Kubernetes framework
- Understanding of software INI, UDV, SQL libraries and familiarity with version control systems like Git/Bitbucket
- Experience with ERP systems preferably Deltek Costpoint
- Basic understanding of configuration management, process flow and general manufacturing processing standards
- Familiar with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and best practices in server management
