Red Canyon Software is seeking a Thermal Analyst to support the GeoXO Electromechanical Packaging team! You will be directly involved in helping the program achieve it's Critical Design Review goals for avionics subsystems.

Location: Highlands Ranch, CO

Contract: Hourly, February - August 2025

Monday - Thursday (4/10 schedule, every Friday off)

Task 1: PWB Design & Analysis

Creation of Mesh and Thermal Simulation Model of the Avionics mechanical chassis and PWB/CCA's in Siemens NX analysis tool.
Review the power dissipation provided by Electrical Engineer assigned to the PWB/CCA
Provide input for layout on part placement
Review the final stack up or layout based on power input and provide any feedback to optimize copper thickness for thermal performance

Task 2: Box Design & Analysis

Verify the Box design has good thermal path from parts to board, chassis and mounting interface
Ensure the box design can meet maximum allowed heatflux to spacecraft.
Review and understand system thermal requirement, maximum flight temp, acceptance and qualification
Perform box level thermal analysis to flow down the rail temperature to each individual CCA

Task 3: CCA Design & Analysis

Provide guidance for part installation such as bonding and spacer needed
Perform CCA level thermal analysis to insure all the EEE part temperature meeting program derating limit.

Task 4: Design Review Support

Generation of PDR/CDR engineering artifacts (charts, documentation, etc.) and presentation at PDR/CDR.
Weekly detailed documentation of design effort progress.
Generation of other engineering documentation to include Engineering Memos
Resolve all action items from the design reviews (PDR/CDR) related to thermal analysis.
