Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers. 

 

The Cyber Operations & Resiliency Department (CORD) focuses on providing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support and cyber engineering support to a variety of US National Security Systems (NSS) cybersecurity capabilitiesCORD personnel provide the Aerospace corporation with a staff of cybersecurity engineers for meeting customers’ real-time/operational cybersecurity needsWe are looking for a Section Manager (Manager - Cybersecurity Architecture and Information Systems Security). We enable the cyber efficacy of multiple United States Air Force (USAF) and United States Space Force (USSF) operational systems as well as design the cybersecurity architectures of future systems.   

 

Work Model 

  • This is a full-time position based in Colorado Springs, offering a hybrid work model that combines 4 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.   

 

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Manage the Cyber Capabilities Development Section within CORD with an emphasis on managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for operational USAF and USSF systems. 

  • Build a talented organization through all phases of recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding new staff 

  • Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, maintain team morale, and monitor individual well-being and job satisfaction 

  • Develop staff through performance management, evaluation, coaching, mentoring 

  • Obtain, manage, and tailor work assignments to staff skillsets 

  • Ensure the technical quality of staff work products 

  • Acquire resources necessary for the success of the staff 

  • Manage overall capabilities of the section paying attention to health/status and necessary evolutions to support customers 

  • Interface with program office and government customers, other corporate support organizations, as well as other ETG departments 

  • Execute business administration functions (e.g., budget, resource allocation) 

  • Mentor junior developers to effectively engage with customers and teammates on best practices for software architecture design, requirements development, and workflow integration. 

  • Collaborate with department management and other managers as needed 

  • In addition to leadership and management functions, provide direct operational cyber sustainment services to operational USAF and USSF systems and program offices. 

 

What You Need to be Successful - Project Leader - Cybersecurity Architecture and Information Systems Security 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelors in STEM or related technical discipline  

  • 5-years or more of  experience in the cybersecurity field (eg RMF  A&A, or related  management) 

  • Posses an active cybersecurity associated accreditation (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, Network+, etc) 

  • Experience in RMF A&A management and support to include working with Authorizing Officials (AOs), Security Control Assessors (SCA) and SCA Representatives (SCARS), Agents for SCAs (ASCAs) and other key members of the A&A process 

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal and working relationships with corporate staff, peers, management, customers, and contractors. 

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to work location or customer site/domestically/internationally at a rate of up to 2 times a month  

  • This position requires an active Top Secret/ SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. 

 

 

How You Can Stand Out 

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: 

  • Masters of Science in computer science, information security, or cybersecurity related field 

  • Technical people management experience of teams of 10 or more people 

  • Documented experience involving A&A of Federal Government and/or Department of Defense systems 

  • Active TS/SCI and preferred that the candidate has had a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed 

 

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
