We’re on the hunt for a FPGA Verification Engineer  on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role: 

The FPGA Verification Engineer will report to a Principal Verifier and will be involved in the verification of FPGAs for various space applications such as robotics, radar imagery, command & control, telecommunications and digital signal processing.

 

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Develop SystemVerilog (or VHDL) test benches for the verification of FPGAs;
  • Apply the various techniques and approaches of the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM);
  • Write test cases to verify the requirements;
  • Contribute to the development of the test infrastructure;
  • Document and report problems found to designers and assist them in identifying the source of the problems;
  • Support laboratory testing

 

Minimal Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in FPGA or ASIC verification.
  • Experience writing test benches in SystemVerilog.
  • Knowledge of UVM validation environments.
  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics' QuestaSim digital simulator.
  • Sufficient knowledge of VHDL to navigate through an existing design.
  • Knowledge of the Linux environment, scripting languages (Shell, Tcl, Python).
  • Familiarity with test bench automation techniques (Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of source code management techniques (SVN, GIT).
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Good ability to communicate in both French and English, orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methods and Jira.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
