Maxar Space is currently seeking an Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining test equipment used to test Maxar's Spacecraft Power, Controls, and Telemetry and Command Subsystems. This position will also provide on-site support to San Jose location.

Responsibilities

Design of custom electronics for simulation and measurement
Creating and maintaining automated tests using test scripts
Work with design engineers to establish test requirements
Creation and release of test equipment and SW documentation.
Perform troubleshooting of test equipment in production
Perform troubleshooting of flight hardware (along with design team)

Minimum Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
BS in computer engineering, electrical engineering, related discipline
Experience with a wide range of electrical test equipment like Oscilloscope, Electronic Loads, Power Supplies, signal generators, switching etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Python and C Experience
Experience leveraging Object Oriented Programming
Design for High Power
Custom PCB/PCA design
3D modeling/3D printing experience a plus

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

● The base pay for this position within California is: $65,000.00 - $107,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
