The Strategic Space System Division is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist or Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to work onsite at our facility in Redondo Beach, CA. This position maybe filled with either the level 3 or level 4 based on qualifying years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements, coordinating with Legal, International Trade Compliance, and Information Security as needed.
  • Sources and procures specialized goods and services.
  • Develops subcontract requirements, work statements, and identifies applicable terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
  • Prepare Request for Quotation Proposal (RFP) and identify sources eligible to receive RFPs for complex and/or non-routine procurement requirements.
  • Responsible for proposal evaluation and source selections supporting capture activities and execution.
  • Perform cost and/or price analyses to determine price reasonableness. Negotiate with suppliers on price, schedule, and terms and conditions, and any other contractual requirements. May lead negotiations with supplier.
  • Owns contractual management for the supplier.
  • Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
  • Manages performance of subcontracts, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
  • Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
  • Manages and develops strategic/key suppliers.
  • Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Supplier Subcontract/Procurement experience 
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations
  • Strong SAP or other ERP system experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance

Level 3

Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management and/or relatable business experience or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; in lieu of degree, 9 years of experience will be considered.

Level 4

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management and/or relatable business experience or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; in lieu of degree, 12 years of experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with multiple various contract types (FFP, Cost Type, T&M, etc.)
  • Active DoD clearance

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
