Boeing’s Space, Intelligence and Weapons System Production Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated, creative and results driven Multi-Skill Engineering Senior Manager to serve as team lead out of Huntsville, AL. This position will work closely with the operations, engineering, and quality teams to develop, implement, and execute testing and defect reduction in the circuit card factory and other factories at the Huntsville site. This position will serve as the lead to ensure that plans are created and executed to identify nonconformities in circuit cards and related products and to drive actions to eliminate the root cause of defects.

The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and test of electronics components and will have demonstrated success in implementing problem solving methodology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Leads team responsible for test, evaluation, and defect reduction.
  • Leads team responsible for automated equipment and associated processes used in the assembly and testing of circuit cards.
  • Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • Make recommendations for technology investments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in technical or engineering management.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics testing.
  • Experience in a role requiring strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.
  • Master of Science in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous management experience. 
  • Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
  • Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.
  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.

Summary pay range: $155,550 - $210,450
