Job description
Position Overview:
The Electrical Manufacturing Technician will utilize their skills to perform electrical mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic products with a focus on customer and production support. Working with high precision electrical products, this individual will have the opportunity to be mentored and work hands on within a growing and evolving aerospace and defense environment.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Mechanical Assembly requirements that follow blueprints, guidelines, and /or diagrams to ensure product specification and tolerance levels are met.
- Uses measuring and diagnostic tools and modify systems and components / assemblies.
- Ensure the requirements of Bill of Materials (BOM) and customer specifications are achieved to maintain copy exactly industry standard.
- Read and work to technical procedures, drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Identify and resolve build problems.
- Record and report technical/BOM issues using company trouble log methods.
- Contribute to performance of the production team through productivity improvement initiatives
- Developing the ability to perform manufacturing tasks associated with Torquing, Soldering, and Assembling a variety of products.
- Ability to use hand tools required to perform this job.
- Ability to become J-STD-001 and NASA certified for soldering.
- Ability to become Harness and Cabling certified NASA .4 and IPC 620
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical defects to root cause.
- Work as part of a cross-departmental team, communicating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Contracts
Basic Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 5 - 10 years of mechanical and/or machinist related experience.
- Must be mechanically inclined with a curiosity and aptitude to learn.
- Computer proficiency with the willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
