This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
This position is for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Model Manager for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) System. The selected applicant will be the focal point for managing the C2BMC MBSE modeling environment, responsible for systems engineering roles in the development, integration, and support of large-scale software-intensive systems.
Essential Functions:
- Support the development of models and serve as the focal point for model configuration management
- Collaborate closely with the C2BMC classified IT group to ensure the modeling environment is properly provisioned from an infrastructure perspective, backed up, archived, and that all required cyber-compliance activities are completed without impacting production
- Develop, guide, and manage integrations between the CAMEO TWC environment and other systems engineering tools such as:
- IBM DOORs classic
- Other identified sources of certified data required to sustain the model(s)
- Act as the focal point for integration with other modeling teams/environments external to C2BMC (e.g., models provided/developed by other MDNT partner organizations)
- Provide support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance skills within the department
- Work under the supervision of the MBSE Lead and interface with other technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within available resources
- Review the content and details of technical products
- Serve as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as required
- Be actively involved in efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning and status
Salary range Colorado Springs, CO: MIN $100,300.00/MID $124,400.00 MAX/$150,500.00
Salary range Huntsville, AL MIN $105,400.00/MID $106,700.00/MAX $158,000.00
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Mathematics, Science, Physics, Engineering or related technical discipline) from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 3 years of experience
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Must have administrative experience with Dassault Systems CAMEO and Teamwork-Cloud (TWC) products
- Experience working with Pure Systems Pure-variants PLE
- Knowledge or experience administering PV/PLE as is experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs) classic
- Understand general systems engineering management practices and tools such as:
- Agile using Atlassian JIRA
- Confluence
- SharePoint
- Developing or assisting with the development of guidelines for model artifact development consistent with SysMOD and OOSEM methodologies
- Develope or assist with the development of modeling, Style Guides and other MBSE standards to guide model development
- RBAC and modeling environment access management (TWC)
- Java/Groovy scripting to support development of custom plug-ins and other modeling tool customizations
- Managing server/tools in a classified environment including requirements for porting data between environments at different classification levels
- Familiarity with underlying operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Hypervisor environments
- Managing model federation, branch & merge operations, and other model Configuration Management tasking
- Delivering data products from a modeling platform using tools such as:
- Collaborator
- VTL scripts
- Webify
- Tom Sawyer
- Other similar tools
- Cybersecurity concerns as relates to protection of National Security systems such as:
- Application of STIGS
- IAVMs
- Other information assurance processes
- Must have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge, ability and experience integrating DOORS and CAMEO via TWC Datahub is highly desired

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
