The Strategic Space System Division has an opening for a Director, Supply Chain Programs 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support our advanced programs located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The Supply Chain Program Operating Unit Director within our Strategic Space Systems Division will be responsible, accountable, and have the authority for the operational efficiency, strategy, planning, and execution of the Global Supply Chain organization to include capture activities. Responsible as the main focal point for the Operating Unit for the entire GSC functional homeroom, coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all GSC commitments are met and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks, issues, and/or opportunities related to GSC and the suppliers. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing the material strategy, and lead GSC activities for all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) for the portfolio of programs within the Operating Unit. Responsibilities:

  • Lead matrixed cross-functional organization of Global Supply Chain professionals to support business unit level requirements

  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all supply chain content for the Operating Unit

  • Manage supplier relationships and support negotiations for major subcontract and procurement suppliers

  • Coordinate planning, budget management, and execution of GSC content for the Operating Unit

  • Responsible for career development, performance management, building strong teams, leading change and solving complex problems

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years (8+ years with Master’s) of experience leading supply chain program execution and/or program management including strategy, planning, and execution of programs

  • Minimum 4 years of management experience with a proven record of leading multi-functional integrated product teams

  • Experience supporting large execution programs as well as new program pursuits

  • Experience in aerospace/defense industry

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearances

  • Masters of Business Administration/Supply Chain or related field

  • International Business Experience

Salary Range: $197,600.00 - $296,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
