Job description
Virgin Galactic is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll specialist to join our team in Tustin, Ca. This role is essential to ensuring seamless payroll operations, focusing on accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing full cycle bi-weekly payroll in multi-states, processing RSU and has a knowledge of payroll tax, and wage and hour regulations
Responsibilities
Maintain payroll data, including employee information, tax withholding status, and other relevant information in ADP.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and other stakeholders in a timely manner.
Stay current on payroll-related laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts, including payroll tax liabilities.
Process and distribute payroll reports as needed.
Work with HR and other departments to ensure that employee data is accurate and up-to-date – Validate data in ADP from SuccessFactors delivered via automated feed.
Manage time and attendance systems, ensuring that data is accurate.
Audit, adjustments and reconciliation of various discrepancies.
Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR or related field.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years working in payroll with Multi state payroll experience, basic knowledge of Federal & State payroll laws and regulations.
Payroll processing experience - manual calculation of timecards, and paychecks with taxes, deductions, liens, etc.
Knowledge of processing RSU and other payments.
Experience in ADP WFN.
Ability to process payroll from start to finish in a high volume setting.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $69,550.00–$100,925.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
