Salary: $150,000 - $200,000

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Development, the Space Systems Technical and Business Development Manager assists in defining space systems solutions that fit York’s capabilities and business model. They serve as a member of York’s Business Development and Proposals team and interface closely with the Mission Solutions team to define space solutions that meet customers’ requirements. The candidate will be adept at writing technical proposals and possess strong business and industry acumen. They will be a member of a dynamic and fast paced team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Become familiar with York’s space capabilities and articulate how they can meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with customers and coordinate with others internally to define and communicate space solutions.
Lead technical trades to develop mission solutions that meet customer needs.
Identify new, emerging opportunities for York’s capabilities and that fit our business model.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent technical writer and communicator
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
Excellent presentation and customer-facing skills
Resilient; able to cope under pressure
Driven to achieve and deliver consistent high-quality results
Excellent technical and business acumen and instinct
Proven track record in the space systems markets
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to influence at all levels
Self-motivated and able to work using own initiative
Works well in a team environment
Must possess or be eligible for TS/SCI clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active TS/SCI Clearance
Master’s degree in Technical or Systems area
Minimum of 10 years in the space industry
