Northrop Grumman Space Sector Global Supply Chain has an opening for a Manager of Global Supply Chain Business Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This person will report to the GSC PM CoE. This leadership position will be located in one of the following locations:

  • Redondo Beach, CA- Preferred Location

  • Baltimore, MD

  • Mclean, VA

  • Dulles, VA

  • Chandler, AZ

Position Overview:

Responsible for Materiel (Subcontract and Procurement) financial forecast accuracy to plan and ensuring alignment with Business Management plan(s) and assumptions in Business Unit, Division and Sector Indicated Final (IFs).

The Global Supply Chain Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Materiel Cost tracking activities within the organization. This includes operating cross functionally to develop and implement standardized processes to improve base forecasting and understanding/developing variances across the Sector. The Manager is further responsible for knowledge sharing by developing training materials, templates and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve the accuracy of the year-end IFs and AOP submittal

  • Improve the accuracy of the monthly rolling forecast updates by coordinating with buyers and Business Management

  • Provide monthly reconciliation and executive presentation to support Sector, Division EAC and OPS reviews  

  • Review all significant cost type and Progress Payment authorized FFP major subs to determine expenditure and billing forecast requirements and compliance

  • Work with buyers to coordinate with suppliers for required forecasts

  • Develop guidelines and process to provide material base sensitivities. Upside/Downside, high/medium/low probabilities to rolling forecast

  • Develop general procedures/work instructions to standardize materiel base forecasting process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in global supply chain, business management, procurement, and/or subcontracts management with a proven track record of success in managing subcontracting activities for large-scale projects.

  • 7+ years formal lead/management experience

  • Solid understanding of subcontracting and business management/EVM principles, practices, and regulations, including FAR/DFARS requirements.

  • Proficiency in contract management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' of proven track record building a robust monthly rhythm for supplier forecasting team (Subcontracts/Procurement Management, Finance, and Material Cost Management)

  • Cost Account Management/Earned Value certifications is a plus.

  • Provides the necessary timeline for data population, status, and analysis

  • Creates the ability to have data driven conversations

  • Provides insight to monthly or quarterly changes, tracking key deliveries, and communicating financial implications

Salary Range: $146,800.00 - $255,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
