PREPARE FOR IMPACT!
Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Systems Administrator will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the corporate IT infrastructure, including systems, networks, and endpoints, while primarily supporting employees and contractors across the Americas. The Systems Administrator will serve as the primary contact for IT operations in the region, excelling in both reactive support and proactive project management. This is a Minnesota based position which requires occasional on-site work (incumbent must be within commuting distance of our Maple Grove office).

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage and maintain IT operations, including servers, networks, applications, and hardware like AV and security systems, to ensure reliable performance and robust security.
  • Act as the primary IT contact, providing user support, troubleshooting issues, and minimizing disruptions across departments.
  • Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery processes to protect data and ensure swift recovery from system failures.
  • Oversee the computer lifecycle, including commissioning, decommissioning, and maintaining accurate inventory of hardware resources.
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding, ensuring system access and compliance with security protocols in coordination with HR.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated issues and manage IT integrations with partners and subsidiaries.
  • Support IT projects and proof of concepts, contributing technical expertise and assisting with systems integration during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Document troubleshooting and create user guides to maintain a knowledge base and provide clear IT instructions to users.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, resolving critical IT issues promptly to maintain system availability and business continuity.
YOUR PAST MISSIONS
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, network administration, system administration or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration, managing IT infrastructure, networks, and user support.
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), virtualization technologies, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with M&A IT integration and vendor management is an asset.
YOUR TOOLKIT
  • Proficient knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server, macOS, and Linux, with strong command-line experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of device management systems such as MDM, Jamf, and Intune.
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking principles, including routing, VLANs, VPNs, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficient in managing SaaS applications, particularly Microsoft 365, JIRA/Confluence, and Okta.
  • Functional knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOC2, NIST or other frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and vendors.
  • Ability to work autonomously when required, while also excelling in team-based environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to troubleshoot complex issues in dynamic IT environments.
Bonus:
  • Proficiency in French
  • Intermediate scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and system administration tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT integration during mergers and acquisitions.
YOUR COMPENSATION
Base Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000 USD annually

The range above depends on job-related skills, experience, training, education, location and business needs. The range is based on Minnesota-derived compensation for this role. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances, when a candidate has the experience, skills, and expertise to exceed those required for the position, would we consider paying at the top of the range for this role.
