Position Description:

The Information Technology Business Partner (ITBP) serves as a strategic partner in the National Security business segment. This role ensures alignment between IT capabilities and business objectives to support innovation, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. The ITBP plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives that advance engineering, manufacturing, and operational excellence. This position is responsible for coordinating all IT activities between the Business and enterprise level IT functions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Business Alignment:
    • Act as the primary IT representative for the Space Solutions business unit, understanding their strategic goals and challenges.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that deliver measurable value.
    • Align IT strategy and capabilities with industry-specific needs, such as production efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Project Management and Solution Delivery:

    • Lead the identification, scoping, and delivery of IT projects that enhance engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing processes.
    • Partner with business unit to gather and document detailed requirements for systems and solutions.
    • Oversee the lifecycle of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies which offer a cost benefit proposition.  
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding of project goals.
    • Regularly provide updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and impacts on business operations.
    • Advocate for the business within IT and ensure technical teams understand the unique demands of the revenue generating activities.
  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure IT solutions comply with regulations, such as AS9100, CUI, and ITAR requirements.
    • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance product design, testing, and operational performance.
    • Promote the use of data-driven decision-making.
    • Lead initiatives to streamline processes and improve productivity in areas such as maintenance, supply chain, and quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • IT Support -This position will advocate for the necessary IT resources for supporting the revenue generating activities of the business and work closely with enterprise IT to resolve any issues which put revenue at risk. 
  • Relationship Management - The position is responsible for managing the relationship between IT and Business management. The position will interact directly with management from the Business to understand business priorities and incorporate those priorities into the IT plan. The position is then responsible for actively performing and managing IT work supporting the Business and coordinating activities across functional teams within IT to meet their needs. The position is also accountable for issue escalation and resolution.
  • Project Management - The position has responsibility for managing projects specific to the Business. The position also has budgetary and vendor management responsibilities for the sites including review and approval of local invoices (phone, data, software maintenance, hardware maintenance, etc.).
  • IT Process and Standards -The position is responsible for supporting and enforcing IT policy, processes, and standards within the Business. In situations where IT policy, process and/or standards are not adequate the IT Business Partner will be responsible for leading process improvement.
  • IT Applications - The position will be responsible for providing direct support or working with the local or enterprise applications team to ensure the needs of the Business are met.
  • Service Level Management - The position will be responsible for communicating IT service levels to management and ensuring the service levels are being met.
  • IT Audits & Compliance - The position will be responsible for the completion of monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual IT reviews for the Business and remediating any resulting issues. The position also provides support to internal and external audits.
  • Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required. 

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in IT business partnering, program management, or a related role.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with ERP systems (e.g. Job Boss, NetSuite, Costpoint)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
  • Support ticketing systems, change control methodologies and their importance to ITIL best practices
  • IT security concepts and application to ERP systems
  • Extensive knowledge regarding trends and best practices in the areas of ERP management
  • Ability to travel onsite to business locations in Houston, TX, Cleveland, OH, San Diego, CA, Reno, NV

 

Preferences:

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

 

Salary Range: $147,000 - $169,000/year
