Position Overview: 

​​We are looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team.  In this position, you will be responsible for performing full life-cycle Contract Management for a portfolio of high value contracts. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented members at ARKA.​ 

 

This position can be performed from either our Aurora, CO or Colorado Springs, CO location.

As a Senior Contracts Manager, your responsibilities would include:  

  • ​​Contract lifecycle management from pursuit, bid, proposals, negotiations, award, execution and closeout  
  • ​Reviewing, analyzing, and conducting risk assessment of contract terms and conditions and developing negotiation plans 
  • ​Leading contract negotiations 
  • ​Reviewing and negotiating NDAs PIAs and other business agreements. 
  • ​Direct interface and coordination with US Government Contracting Officers, prime contractor procurement representatives, and other customer personnel to establish and maintain business relationships, facilitate discussions, engage in negotiations, serve as a liaison, etc.  
  • ​Assessing and advising company personnel on the FAR, DFARS, and other agency supplements (NASA, DOE, etc.) and commercial contract terms and conditions  
  • ​Providing contract advice to and work with various functional areas (i.e. Legal, Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain etc.)  
  • ​Identify, review, and address contract interpretation and administration issues 
  • ​Work with the International Trade Compliance (ITC) Department, and others, to ensure strict compliance with applicable Import/Export Laws as required 
  • ​Support Contract data input/entry into SAP 
  • ​Mentor/train junior level contracts managers on the team.  
  • ​Support internal and external audits​ 
  • Travel up to 10% 

Required Qualifications: 

  • ​​Minimum of 10 years relevant experience 
  • ​Detailed knowledge of all phases of the contract lifecycle – pursuit, bid, proposal, negotiation, award, execution, and closeout 
  • ​Extensive experience with the FAR, DFARS 
  • ​Extensive experience with identifying, reviewing, and addressing contract formation, interpretation and administration issues   
  • ​Experience/working knowledge of FFP/FPIF/ CPAF/CPIF/CPFF/T&M and hybrid contract types  
  • ​Experience negotiating with US Government (as a prime and sub), commercial contracts and other agreements 
  • ​Be proficient in Microsoft Office products as well as the ability to learn business systems (i.e., SAP) 
  • ​Possess excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with various functional groups at all levels, both internal and external 
  • ​BS or BA in an applicable field (business, legal, etc.) is required. ​ 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ​​Experience working with government agencies (NASA, DOE, etc.) 
  • ​Demonstrated experience working both directly with the US government acquisition organizations as well as a supplier to the major prime contractors 
  • ​Have a working knowledge of DPAS and Export Regulations 
  • ​NCMA Certification 
  • ​Active US Government security clearance 
  • ​Advanced degree in relevant field​

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. This would require the ability to move around the campus and occasionally move/lift items weighing up to 40 lbs. Pay Range: $130,000 - $175,000

ITC & Security Clearance Requirements:  

The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
