You’ll actively be involved in bids and projects in the Space business contributing to the ambitious growth of Thales Alenia Space CH. You’ll manage small projects as well as the contract execution for key suppliers and subco. You will therefore participate to the development
and delivery of instruments for scientific satellites and optical communications terminals.Working closely with our sales and procurement teams from the bid phase to the post delivery assistance, you’ll ensure the execution of the required activities at our premises or at our suppliers, ensuring that the technical performances, planning and conformity of the product are fulfilled.
With the time, you will have the opportunity to grow into a more senior project manager role

Your mission

  • Develop the relationship and managing the interface with the Customer or subco/suppliers from the bid phase until contract completion

  • Provide leadership and strategic vision to the project or bid team

  • Reviewing and committing to project or bid baselines, consolidating the schedule, and driving commitment to delivery dates

  • Contribute to Subco/Suppliers selection prior to contract signature

  • Lead the negotiation with the Subco/Suppliers (including CCN management)

  • Lead the relationship with Suppliers considering schedule, cost and quality

  • Monitor the contract execution and implement necessary actions in order to mitigate impact on Programs

  • Manage the costs, forecasts, risks, and opportunities of the project

  • Report to internal customers & central functions with risks and opportunities, costs status, and forecast schedule

  • Ensure completeness of the deliverables and release financial aspects linked to payments

  • Support the project managers and the procurement team in providing consistent and accurate project reporting to both internal and external partners

  • Identify when support is needed for the team and obtaining it from the organization

We look forward to that

  • A bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent fields such as Electronics, Optics is desired

  • A first experience as engineer in product development, ideally in the space industry

  • Familiarity with project lifecycle concepts, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure

  • Very good command of English (able to lead negotiations), German (nice to have), French or Italian (a real plus)

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a dynamic environment

  • Willingness to learn new products, new techniques

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical thinking to troubleshoot issues related to project execution and deliverables
