Job description

As a Federal Inside Sales Representative, you are accountable for the success of your business within a region or vertical positioning Spire's mission-critical satellite data and space services to protect and empower our Federal partners. Federal Inside Sales Representatives have direct responsibility for the performance of the product portfolio, and it is expected that you will easily get a good understanding of the entire external business environment. You are expected to build partnerships with key prospects, and manage the relationship until handoff with post-sales teams. You will help to initiate or support various projects in your territory, that can range from complex negotiations with our partners to specific marketing initiatives. Most importantly, you will help raise the bar on the customer experience and that you will advocate on behalf of the customers to any and all internal functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on inbound leads.
  • Combining your educational background to an understanding of a customers' potential needs and identifying qualified sales opportunities or potential upcoming RFP/RFQ opportunities for us to bid on.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email or webchat.
  • Willing to work in a structured, metric-based role whereby expected to make over 30 calls a day and create new business opportunities leading to monthly closed transactions
  • Proactive reach out to target customers via Linked In / email/phone / other channels
  • Keeping up with our products and updates.
  • Maintaining our CRM
  • Researching and qualifying new leads, including dial-downs for upcoming events and product announcements.
  • Closing sales and helping to achieve sales targets

Basic Qualifications:

  • Interest in sales and the new space industry
  • BA or BS degree in any Maritime, Aviation, or Weather Forecasting field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Access to US export controlled software and/or technology may be required.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Final base salary for this role will be based on the location, skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for commissions and annual equity awards. This role is also eligible for our employee benefits program, including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness reimbursement program; and participation in Spire’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Base Salary Range
$90,000β€”$110,000 USD
