About the Role
Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 CAD
As an Analytics Engineer I, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities of our fast-growing space-tech company. This role is ideal for a data generalist who thrives on variety and collaboration, working with SQL, Python, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools like AWS Quicksight or Metabase to design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations with platforms such as Salesforce. You’ll create and manage data models, support internal stakeholders with data exploration and analysis, and contribute to building scalable, innovative data solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes
- Develop and maintain data integrations with various platforms, including Salesforce
- Assist in data exploration, transformation, and analysis for internal stakeholders
- Create and manage data models for reporting and analytics
- Wear multiple hats in a growing data team, taking on both engineering and analytical tasks as needed
Skills and Experience
- A University degree, college diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python
- Experience as a data generalist, ability to wear multiple hats
- Demonstrated experience with at least one BI tool
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and Databricks for data processing
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management integrations (Salesforce)
- Experience with forecasting and modeling
