Northrop Grumman is looking for a Manager Engineering Tech Support 2 to serve as the Functional Homeroom Manager of the Master Production Scheduling (MPS) team at our Space Park Facility. This is a highly dynamic, interactive positions. You will interact with numerous stakeholders including program management, functional leadership, and other manufacturing functions within Strategic Space Systems Division. Outstanding organizational and leadership skills are required to succeed in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of staff
Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Conducting periodic performance evaluations, including mid-year and annual reviews
Providing technical leadership and guidance to the staff
Managing indirect and capital needs
Professional development and mentoring of direct reports
Supporting Functional Homeroom initiatives and projects which include process improvement, Event Response Teams, Corrective, and Preventive Action implementation
Coordinates and communicates engineering change to downstream functions and develops work-around plans and scenarios as required to minimize negative cost and schedule impact to supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Project Management responsibility of various projects requiring oversight of multi-disciplined project teams.
Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, etc.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of combined experience in a technical and leadership role OR Master’s Degree plus 3 years of combined experience in a technical and leadership role.
Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
Experience in the Aerospace, Defense or Manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with MRP/SAP and scheduling experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret or SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
An active Top Secret Clearance OR SCI Access
Program Management Experience
Strong organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors.
IPT Lead Experience
Knowledge of air or spacecraft production and/or integration and test.
