Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Security Coordinator 4 to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Redondo Beach, CA location.

Roles and Responsibilities: Produces employee and guest badges, identification cards, and security reader cards. Processes security information and data for employment records, security clearances, and property control. Collects and submits electronic fingerprints, handprints and optical reading into systems. Maintains lock and key records. Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas. Verifies accuracy of information prior to issuing clearances. Maintains controlled security documents and information.

  • Support a fast-paced, high-profile program; create, maintain, and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
  • Conduct security audits.
  • Assist with Media Issuance, Accountability, and Destruction.
  • Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility.
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on action(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
  • Submit, review, and verify Visit Requests through queries to government security databases and systems.
  • Support classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the DoD Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals (DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4) and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.
  • Maintain access control, including UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities in accordance with DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance.
  • Assist program managers and professional staff in the interpretation, application, and compliance with program Security Classification Guides (SCG).

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and 6 years additional education and/or administrative or security-related experience

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain a U.S. Government final security clearance at the Secret level

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain access to a special access program

  • Candidate must be organized and efficient at time management

  • Candidate must have experience with computer and desktop Microsoft office software products (Word, Excel etc...)

  • Ability to sit and/or stand throughout the day

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision

  • Ability to display tact, discretion, and diplomacy in a variety of program areas

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment

  • Excellent communication skills, speaking, writing skills and organizational skills enabling effective communication

Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
