Job description

Position Overview:

In this role, you will support integrated engineering teams by carrying out test development engineering activities in accordance with ARKA standards and practices. You will be working with the hardware design, development and systems engineers to plan tests, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the product requirement specifications. You will be leading Test Readiness Reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests and developing test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing of our RF system products. You will be supporting development testing to reduce project risk, by developing procedures and software automation that will be used in test and verification operations. This position will be key in implementing and supporting a disciplined test process across engineering disciplines. You will be responsible for technically leading and mentoring entry level test engineers in delivering fully validated products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

· Reviewing customer requirements for measurability and testability.

· Developing integrated test plans and procedures (automated/manual) that will verify customer requirements.

· Lead test efforts for executing and debugging automated verification tests procedures for electrical and environmental requirement sign-off of ARKA products to our customers.

· Provide technical oversight and support to entry level engineers and technicians.

· Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware and Systems engineers in test development and execution.

· Prepare and present at program milestones and post-test reviews.

· Support Test Engineering management with continuous improvement for the test environment, lab equipment and test process.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant field. Engineer experience in a lieu of a degree may be considered.

· 5 years of technical hands-on experience testing or operating in at least one of the following disciplines:

o Satellite ground operations/testing

o Satellite flight testing

o Cryptography devices

o RF systems

· Experience leading test teams as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer

· Experience developing, writing and updating test procedures

· Strong technical writing and communication skills

· Familiar with vector network analyzers, RF signal generators, antennas, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters

Preferred Qualifications:

· Programming exposure to Python, Unix scripting

· Experience with Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI) to automate test equipment

· Familiarity with Linux operating systems

· Experience working with technical schematics, drawings, parts list, wire run list and technical specifications.

· Systems mindset and aptitude

· Experience in system engineering best practices

· Experience executing in the full System Development Lifecycle

Candidates may be considered for sign on bonuses consistent with skills and experience levels.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $155,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
